Bio

Lily is a prototype robot found by Maisie on the side of the road. She can't remember anything that happened before meeting Maisie except for her own name. Her memory loss and glitches make it hard for her to function everyday and sometimes accomplish basic tasks. She compensates for this with overconfidence and optimism. Plenty of people have called her annoying, but she doesn't care. Lifespans for robots are uncertain, so she wants to spend her time enjoying life to the fullest.

Like Maisie she is somewhat confused about the current state of the world. She isn't exactly unintelligent, since she can do any maths calculation instantly, at will. Her memory issues just make it difficult to remember how things like self-checkouts work.

Gradually though, she begins to learn about her past life through hallucinations that occur suddenly, without warning. She eventually realises her memories aren't entirely gone, but only traces remain. The only thing she knows for sure is that something bad happened before she ended up half-dead on the pavement.

History

Basically the same as Maisie. Specifically, her previous backstory was that she used to be a nurse in a hospital being attacked by zombies (lol). I named her Lily for a bunch of dumb reasons that aren't interesting.

Her appearance and backstory is loosely based on Chii from Chobits. I have a fondness for the manga but find myself frustrated/fascinated with how the robots are represented in the story, so I wanted to do my own take on the concept of a silly robot girl with memory problems.

Trivia

  • She is able to change the color of her eyes at any time and can even flash them rapidly like a strobe light.

  • Mysteriously, she can feel pain in certain circumstances.

  • She dresses slutty (complimentary) year round because she doesn't have to worry about the cold.

  • The markings on her face have no lore reason to be there (currently), I just like to draw stuff on characters' faces.

  • She has been known to crash from pushing herself too hard while playing DDR.
